I hate to sound like an old fart, but sometimes Floyd Manning feels the need to make some sweeping observations about the society in which we are currently living. Do you think the pilgrims felt they were entitled to diddly-squat when they landed on Plymouth Rock? Or how about the brave men and women who tamed the American West? Do you suppose they felt a cushy lifestyle was their birthright? And, while were on the subject, how about old Benny Binion? When he decided to launch the World Series of Poker in 1970, you think he felt like he deserved to be successful? Hell no, Benny knew the only way to become a success was the old-fashioned way: to steal it. And, failing that, to earn it.
